Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland is currently holed up at the Rancho De La Luna studio in Joshua Tree, CA knocking out some new material. The studio is well known for having recorded bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Fu Manchu, and Earth, so who knows – maybe Borland is finally leaning into a doing a stoner metal band.
Borlan has plenty of non-Limp Bizkit projects like his solo stuff, Black Light Burns, and Big Dumb Face, but maybe this is for a new Limp Bizkit album? There's not much to go on right now other than Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst commenting on the post, but hey – it's the only lead we've got.
It's definitely worth noting that Borland said in an interview with PRS earlier this year that he feels the band's camaraderie is higher than ever and he'd love to start working on the follow-up to 2021's Still Sucks. So maybe we won't have to wait over a decade between Limp Bizkit records this time around.
"Now that Still Sucks has kind of cleared our pipes, I feel that the camaraderie and creativity within the group is at an all-time high," he said. "I wouldn't be surprised if a new album is in the works shortly after our 2022 touring concludes. Anything is possible."
