Obscura is in the studio recording the follow-up to their 2021 record A Valediction. The new record will be Obscura's second since bassist Jeroen Paul Thesseling and guitarist Christian Münzner rejoined the band in 2020, as well as the band's second album with drummer David Diepold.
"Obscura enter Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden with award-winning producer Fredrik Nordström (Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, In Flames) to record the follow-up for their 2021 chart-breaking album A Valediction in April 2024," wrote Obscura. "The band's seventh record sees a worldwide release through Nuclear Blast Records."
Obscura has a bunch of European festival dates lined up for this August, so it seems pretty safe to assume the new record will be done by then. Or in like, a few hours of the recording sessions starting considering everyone in Obscura is a mutant.
