Featuring dudes from Soulfly, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge, and Mastodon!

Killer Be Killed, the band featuring Max Cavalera (Soulfly), Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan), Troy Sanders (Mastodon), and drummer Ben Koller (Converge, Mutoid Man), has been talking on and off about doing a follow-up to their 2014 debut for quite some time now.

With the schedules of all four dudes in the band, it was pretty much impossible, but according to Cavalera they're all together right at this very moment.

Cavalera sat down with The Red Light District on April 4 to discuss all things Soulfly, and he added that Killer Be Killed is in his practice space trying to write as much as they can. He says he hopes to have an album out in 2019, which we're really hoping ends up being true.

"We're actually practicing tomorrow. The guys are flying here to Phoenix and we're gonna go to our Soulfly place of practice, which is like this big warehouse that we have [with] all our gear there. So they're flying in, and they rented a house. So, yeah, we're gonna finally, finally get some new stuff. We'll try to write as much as we can. I'm really excited."

I think we're gonna definitely have a new Killer Be Killed [album] next year, man — I can say that I'm pretty much 99 percent sure it's gonna happen… Hopefully we'll have some stuff done [during this songwriting session], enter the studio sometime… I'm hoping maybe at the end of the year we can actually go in the studio and record some, and continue maybe next year, and have a record out next year. That's the perfect plan for me, at least I think in my mind."

This will be the band's first effort in both writing and recording with Koller behind the kit. Koller replaced ex-The Mars Volta drummer Dave Elitch in 2015 after he dropped off the band to tour with Antemasque.
