Are you ready for solo Jonathan Davis?

Korn frontman Jonathan Davis was recently announced as one of the acts for Hellfest 2018, which we reported on alongside the rumor that there might be a Davis solo album next year as well. Turns out that rumor is dead on, as Davis has revealed via livestream on his Facebook that there is a solo album coming that he's been working on for 10 years.

Davis says the album was originally done for Jonathan Davis And The Simply Fucking Amazings, but with the passing of his solo band and Korn's guitarist Shane Gibson in 2014, he decided to just put it out under his own name.

"I'm finishing my record finally. It's been… I started it in 2008, so I guess it'll be 10 years of work. It's the J.D. S.F.A. [Jonathan Davis and the Simply Fucking Amazings] record, but J.D. S.F.A. is no longer. Unfortunately, since Shane's passed, that band's done and it can't be recreated. So this is J.D. right now … I'm really excited. I've been working on these songs for 10 years, and it's turned out amazing. So there'll be a record coming out next year. I just shot videos yesterday for a couple of songs, and the tour will be next year."

I guess we'll be hearing some music from his solo project pretty soon!
