Machine Head is currently in the studio with producer Zack Ohren (Aborted, Machine Head, etc.) tracking their new album. The band has now revealed they've enlisted drummer Navene Koperweis (Entheos, ex-Animals as Leaders) for the sessions. Machine Head worked with Koperweis on their 2021 EP Arrows In Words From The Sky, as well as "Circle the Drain" and "My Hands Are Empty" singles in 2020.
"That’s a wrap!" said Koperweis on Instagram. "Spent this week tracking drums for the new @machine_head !! Always good times with @xaqultimate @robbflynn @jaredmaceachern – Happy Friday"
This sort of begs the question of when we're going to get Machine Head material with guitarist Wacław "Vogg" Kiełtyka (Decapitated) and drummer Matt Alston (ex-Devilment). Both joined in 2018, but the four singles and Arrows In Words From The Sky between 2019 and 2021 haven't featured either member. Though who knows – maybe Kiełtyka recorded his parts for the new record and emailed 'em over?
