Guitarist Mike Scaccia might have passed on in late 2012, but not without leaving the world with one more kickass Ministry record!
Ministry‘s new album From Beer To Eternity will be released September 6 on 13th Planet Records. It'll be a bittersweet release, though. On one hand, it's new Ministry, but on the other it's the last performance we'll ever heard of Scaccia. Rest in peace, man! Al Jourgensen had to say about the release, and more specifically Scaccia's playing in quotes obtained by The PRP:
We have never, in the history of Ministry, ever had a tracking session like that before. Everything went so smoothly, it was surreal. And Mikey was so on fire and inspired, and really a driving force for this record. During the tracking sessions, Mikey was smiling and going, ‘You know what, Al? This is by far and away the best Ministry album we’ve ever done together. This is awesome.’ I’m super proud of From Beer to Eternity because it’s my tribute toMikey‘s incredible talent, and I feel it honors him and all of the years we spent together making music.
I really hope this record doesn't fall victim to the internet hype machine due to this being their last and then people get disappointed because it doesn't live up to the potential stupid expectations. Here's to a solid Ministry farewell!
