Remember when you had to wait six years between Morbid Angel records, and even worse, that one of 'em was Illud Divinum Insanus? Well that doesn't seem like it'll happen again.
According to Morbid Angel frontman Steven Tucker, the band will be working on new music throughout the year between tours. Tucker adds that he and guitarist Trey Azagthoth will be doing the writing for the followup to 2017's Kingdoms Disdained.
"I'm gonna actually start writing some new music, and I think Trey will probably start writing some new music. We'll probably do a couple of more tours throughout the year. We have some stuff that's being talked about now, but nothing concrete. It's that time. It's been a little bit over a year since the last album came out. I've kind of got the urge and desire myself to write some more music. So we'll start getting into that and continue doing shows."
Morbid Angels' next record will be their second with new guitarist Dan Vadim Von and drummer Scott Fuller (ex-Abysmal Dawn, ex-Havok). Oh, and don't forget to go see Morbid Angel on tour with Cannibal Corpse, Immolation, Necrot and Blood Incantation.
