Last we heard about a new My Dying Bride album was in December 2018 when they announced drummer Shaun Taylor-Steels, who drummed for the band between 1999 and 2006, and then again from 2017 to 2018, exited the band due to "unresolvable drumming issues." The band has since recruited Jeff Singer (Kill II This, ex-Paradise Lost) and silently continued work on their first new album since 2015's Feel The Misery.
Now according to a tweet from the band, the record is done and will feature some guest vocals from Wardruna vocalist Lindy-Fay Hella. No release date has yet been announced, but I'm definitely hoping for sometime this winter. That sort of misery just suits the weather so well.
The new album is finally complete and with @nuclearblasteu Expect death metal growls, cellos, melancholy and guest vocals from Lindy-Fay Hella from @wardruna No release date yet but we will update you when we have one.
