Nile is currently holed up in the studio working on the followup to 2015's What Should Not Be Unearthed, and it's first album since 1998's Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka without guitarist Dallas Toler-Wade. The reasons as to why Toler-Wade left the group still remain murky, but he didn't sound too stoked about the band in 2017.
Toler-Wade was replaced by Brian Kingland of Enthean, and the new album will also be the first with bassist Brad Parris of Red Herring. Last we heard, Nile is aiming to release the album early 2018. It'll be interesting to hear what Kingsland and Parris add to Nile's sound.
