RAMMSTEIN Says A New Album Is Coming Before The End Of The Year

They're "in the final phase of the production of their seventh studio album which will be released before the end of the year."

It's been nine years since Rammstein's Liebe ist für alle da and it looks like that wait won't become decade-long.

We reported back in April that the band had finally hit the studio after talking about writing the album for quite some time, though Rammstein did not give a timetable as to when we could expect it. It looks like we will be hearing new music sooner than later.

Yesterday, Rammstein announced a two-night New Year's party show in Mexico that will only be for "a limited group of fans around the world." Then came the messages on the ticketing site.

The band has since stated that the fans attending the New Year's shows will "very likely be the first to hear the new songs" and that they're "in the final phase of the production of their seventh studio album which will be released before the end of the year." Maybe the first message means those fans will be the first to hear the new songs live? Unless Rammstein is going to just drop the album in its entirety on January 1, 2019, though that wouldn't be "before the end of the year." So I'm going with the whole first to hear 'em live" thing.

New Rammstein… It's comin'.

Here is our interview from last year with Paul Landers talking about where they were at with the sound of the new album at the time:
