The wait is over! After a handful of reunion shows and anniversary shows around their 2004 record The War Within, Shadows Fall is set to release their first new music since 2012 this December. Shadows Fall vocalist Brian Fair revealed the news in an interview with Sultans Of Slack, saying December 6 is the day and refusing to elaborate any more than that.
"Yeah, man, we're finally kinda back playing shows. We're still not touring full time, but we got an anniversary show for the 20th anniversary of The War Within, which is insane that it was 20 years ago," said Fair. "So we're gonna be playing the whole album at the Worcester Palladium in Massachusetts on December 21st. And we're gonna be dropping a new song December 6th. And that's all the details I got about it. I can't say anything else about it. Except December 6th, new tune coming at you from Shadows Fall. Super stoked. So, yep. You heard it first. That's the first time I said the date. So it's coming at you."
Here's hoping the December 6 single also means the announcement of a new EP, right? Shadows Fall is currently their classic lineup of Fair, guitarists Jon Donais and Matt Bachand, bassist Paul Romanko, and drummer Jason Bittner. As for that December 21 show Fair mentioned, it'll be at The Palladium in Worcester, MA with Unearth, E-Town Concrete, Jasta, Within The Ruins, and Brick By Brick as support.
