Sinsaenum, whose lineup includes drummer Joey Jordison (ex-Slipknot, Vimic), bassist-turned-guitarist Frederic Leclercq (Dragonforce) and Stephane Buriez (Loudblast), vocalists Attila Csihar (Mayhem, Sunn O)))) and Sean Zatorsky (ex-Chimaira, ex-Daath), and bassist Heimoth (Seth) is back with their second album and they're promising it's going to be extremely brutal. The new album Repulsion For Humanity will be out on August 10 via earMUSIC and will feature artwork from the legendary Travis Smith, who you know from album covers of artists like Katatonia, Opeth, Devin Townsend, Nevermore, and a ton more.
Here's how Jordison describes the record.
"In a way Repulsion… almost feels like this is our first album, because I had the opportunity to record my drum tracks in France with the band present this time. Them giving me ideas, and being able to construct the tracks together as a band, made for a killer foundation for the rest to build upon. This album is lethal, and the songwriting has evolved immensely."
Leclercq adds that Repulsion For Humanity is "radical, violent, and angry," and that the album is a continuation of the band's 2017 EP Ashes. Zatorsky also adds his thoughts on the album new, praising the riffs and overall writing.
"This is by far the heaviest, brutal, most amazing album I've ever been a part of. The riffs are so fucking sick that they inspired me to vocally do things I have never been able to do but always wanted to — literally. I held nothing back because the music held nothing back."
