Deftones drummer Abe Cunningham recently held an Instagram live chat with fans and teased some new music. YouTube channel DeftonesLive recorded the clips, which you can hear below. The second tease isn't much, but that first riff sounds really heavy!
In a previous Instagram live video, Cunningham said the band is currently mixing the new album, but "it's been a bit difficult to get everyone in the same room."
"We're currently mixing it. Given the current situation, it's been a bit difficult to get everyone in the same room. We can't. So, we're at least still doing that. I wanted to thank you for your patience, obviously, and, of course, your interest in that. It's coming."
As far as how the music will sound, vocalist Chino Moreno once compared it to the experimental nature of Deftones' breakout record White Pony. So that's exciting.
