TESTAMENT Is Hoping To Have A New Album Out By April 2019

They're hoping to hit the studio in January.

Testament didn't mean to take four years between Dark Roots Of Earth in 2012 and Brotherhood Of The Snake in 2016, but touring and a bunch of stuff got in the way and that's just how it shook out.

Now, according to frontman Chuck Billy, once Testament is off the road from Slayer's farewell tour, he's hoping he and guitarist Eric Peterson can get together and write a new album to be ready for the studio in January.

"So by the time we finish [touring], we'll go home and me and Eric [Peterson, guitar] will really get together and really try to chop out a bunch of music, 'cause the goal is to get in the studio hopefully by January and have a record out hopefully by April. That's the goal."

So here's hoping that happens, right? A shorter wait between Testament albums is generally a good thing, especially considering the quality of material they've had on the previous two albums.
