The Dillinger Escape Plan has been string us along with some really interesting tidbits regarding a new album throughout 2016, namely that the phenomenal string quartet SEVEN)SUNS will be performing on the record and that Kurt Ballou is producing the effort. Now the time has… well, sort of come, for information on the new record.
The band has taken to both Facebook and Instagram to hint at new songs and shows are coming soon, as well as a partial title for the new record with a partial revelation of the artwork.
So August 2016 appears to be the release of the album, and I'd imagine touring would commence around then as well. Though that could be just a single and the artwork pertains to just that song, but I get the feeling it's not. The band confirmed that a new album was absolutely coming in 2016, so at the very least we know there's that. Anyone want to take a stab at the title of the new album? I'm going to go with… Limericks of Death. It just sounds fun, you know?
