Right before New Years, we reported that Superjoint (formerly Superjoint Ritual) was in the studio to give its now ill-named 2003 record A Lethal Dose of American Hatred a proper followup. If Metal Archives is to be believed, the band's current lineup that recorded the record should be guitarist Jimmy Bower (Down, Eyehategod), vocalist Phil Anselmo (Down, Scour, etc.), and bassist Kevin Bond (ex-Assjack).
The band also has bassist Stephen Taylor (Philip H. Anselmo & the Illegals) and drummer Joey Gonzalez (Philip H. Anselmo & the Illegals, Warbeast) playing live with the band, and all five appear in its promo photo… so I guess they're all official members and will be on the record?
Anyway!Anselmo's other project Scour posted a picture of a recent magazine advertisement that advertised Scour's upcoming EP, as well as the new Superjoint record titled Caught Up In The Gears Of Application, which doesn't currently have a release date. So we'll let you know more as we know more!
