The newly-reunited Vio-Lence is in the studio recording their first new album since Nothing to Gain. While Nothing to Gain came out in 1993, the album was originally recorded in 1990. Vio-Lence is working with producer Juan Urteaga (Exodus, Machine Head, Testament) on the record, which is expected out sometime this year.
Guitarist Phil Demmel (ex-Machine Head) said the new album is five songs long and that he never expected the new material to happen.
"It’s been just over 30 years since we’ve recorded an album together," said Demmel. "I never thought this would be happening and that anyone would even care after so long. All of the support is so appreciated and we hope you enjoy the 5 new songs we are tracking. Perry is working hard on his tracks and we’ll start guitars next week. Going to be fun.
