It's not easy to open up about personal bouts of depression, but the You Rock Foundation have created a wonderful space for artists to discuss their own struggles in the hopes of helping others with similar problems. Previously, they've posted moving videos from Korn's Jonathan Davis, The Dillinger Escape Plan's Ben Weinman, Lamb of God's Randy Blythe and Slipknot's Corey Taylor.
Taylor's Slipknot bandmate Jim Root is the latest to offer some words to You Rock, and discusses how while he's lucky to be working in a successful band, he still has to battle the "dark side of his mind" and offers advice on how he prevents that from happening, including will power and having positive outlets.
