John Frum consists of ex-The Faceless vocalist Derek Rydquist, The Dillinger Escape Plan bassist Liam Wilson, John Zorn guitarist Matt Hollenberg, and Intensus drummer Eli Litwin. I'm ging to be pretty upfront here and say that John Frum may very well put out one of the best death metal records of 2017, and "Memory Palace" only furthers my assumption. The song is nine minutes, starts off dark, gets even darker, and the video doesn't ever give you a single glimmer of hope. Musically, it's seamlessly transfers between sections, resulting in such a damn good final product.
