Portuguese extreme metal act Gaerea is now streaming "Hope Shatters" alongside the announcement of their new record Coma, due out October 25. The single is great and speaking as someone who's already heard Coma in full, you're getting a glimpse of one of the best metal records of 2024 right now. Trust me.
The video for "Hope Shatters" was produced by Grupa 13 and directed by Dariusz Szermanowicz. Coma was produced by Gaerea themselves, recorded by Miguel Tereso at Redbox Studios, and mixed and mastered by Miguel Tereso at Demigod Studios. Pre-orders are available here and personally, I'd suggest the vinyl – the artwork from Nathan Lorenzana is too good not to have as big as possible.
Better yet, you can also catch Gaerea across North America this November and December with Zeal & Ardor and Zetra. The tour kicks off on November 23 at Union Transfer in Philadelphia, PA and wraps up on December 18 at Studio at The Factory in Dallas, TX. Get your tickets here.
