Get lost in the riffs from melodic death metal unit Instorm, who just released their sophomore album, Taming the Chaos, last month via Metal Carnival Records.
The Russian-based renaissants play an aggressive blend of power metal and melo-death with stark neoclassical influences similar to Wintersun, early Children of Bodom and Arch Enemy.
Encapsulated with most things involving the genre, the band also tends to keep things on a positive note, searching for "self-development, enlightenment and the infinite." Don't let that fool you, though, as Instorm is as brash as you'd expect them to be.
See for yourself in "Lethal Winter."
