JASON RICHARDSON & LUKE HOLLAND Release Third Single From New Album II

The album is available everywhere now.

Guitarist Jason Richardson has dropped a new single and video for "Sparrow," featuring Tina Guo, from the new album from Richardson and ex-The Word Alive drummer Luke Holland, II, which is available everywhere now. You can check out the video for "Sparrow" above, plus purchase the record and other merch here. "Sparrow" is the third single from II, coming on the heels of two previous singles, "Ishimura" and “P00mbachu."

The heavy metal guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and teacher from Virginia has had prolific tenure with bands such as All Shall Perish, Born of Osiris, Chelsea Grin, before joining All That Remains. Richardson crowdfunded his debut solo effort, I, quickly reaching his goal and playing most of the instruments himself, with a little help from his friends: Holland, vocalists Spencer Sotelo and Lukas Magyar, guitarists Rick Graham, Nick Johnston, Jacky Vincent, Mark Holcomb and Jeff Loomis.

Recently, in an interview with Don't Shit On The BusRichardson discussed getting fired from Born Of Osirus in 2011. Richardson said he was let go because he complained about the band's partying, and added that he's not interested in divulging the details of the situation. He later mentioned that getting fired was the best thing for his career.

"It was one of those things where, at first, you could kind of shrug it off for a while. Because it's like, 'Yeah, whatever, hopefully it gets better.' But then it just doesn't. And then just crazier shit starts happening. And then eventually, I started alienating myself, almost a little bit.

"I remember on the last tour, I think one of the only things I really did other than playing the shows and traveling in the van, I would just hide myself in my laptop playing Skyrim for the most part, honestly. It was a while ago now, a decade or 11 years ago now. That last tour, I was literally just pretty much only playing Skyrim away from everyone for the most part besides the shows and stuff. And then that was it. They're just like, 'Alright, we're over it.' And I was like, 'Damn, that sucks.' But in hindsight, it was probably one of the best things that ever happened to me career-wise."
