We guarantee by the end of this music video that the hook from Richomd, VA natives My Enemies & I's new music video "Perfect" will be stuck in your head. Vocalist Jeff Hill explains the meaning behind the song's lyrics:
“Perfect" is a song about reopening an old wound with a person from the past. The song illustrates how some people only care about themselves and are only out for their own personal gain. They are never to blame in any issue and walk with their head higher than everyone else's. A friendship or relationship can sometimes be one sided. If you find yourself doing anything and everything to please someone, it's time to cut the chord. They are trying to shrink you down. Don't worry about that loss.
The track comes from their new album, The Beast Inside, out November 3rd on Fearless Records. Hill has this to say about the album:
The album touches on a lot of depression, anger, frustration, and regret. When we were writing these songs, we were going through a lot in our personal lives as well as life on the road. In the past two years, we've become more aware of who we are as people and artists. We've changed as individuals as well as a band. This album shines a light on the fucked up things we've dealt with in our personal relationships, the music industry, religion, and society as a whole.
