Just in case you're living under a rock or have no contact with the outside world aside from this article, the Rio 2016 Olympics are happening right now. During the synchronized swimming duet portion of the games, metal fans' ears may have perked up slightly more than usual. Specifically during the routine of Japan's swimmers Yukiko Inui and Risako Mitsui, whose performance was based around a medley of Kamelot's "Karma," "The Spell," and "Ghost Opera."
The duet didn't choose the less energetic portions of these songs either – there's double bass, distorted guitars, and the whole nine yards. It's awesome.
