Hailing out of Poland, Batushka erupted on the metal scene last year met with both praise and discomfort to some. As seen in the video, the band centers themselves in an obscure monastic sect of orthodox christianity known as the Schema monks. A very cryptic, death-obsessed part of christianity that has pagan roots. Beyond this, we still don't know much about the band or the identity of the musicians involved.
What I could tell you, is that artistic genius Zev Deans (Ghost, Portal,Chelsea Wolfe) has once again knocked it out of the park with this video and animation!
