Bradley Hall, the man responsible for the fake '90s Megadeth album that was written in 24 hours, is back with another Big Four pick! Hall made a completely fake Metallica album dubbed Metallibeans that captures all the magic of the classic thrash band, distills it into a handful of guiding songwriting principles, and makes fart jokes out of it. Fuck it, right?
"Just like last time, I wrote and recorded an entire album over a 24-hour period and streamed the whole process to prove that I didn't fake it," said Hall. "In order to keep things interesting, each of the songs on the album is loosely based on a different era of Metallica. And unlike my Dave Mustaine impression – which I think is pretty good – my James Hetfield impression leaves a lot to be desired. So for this album I decided to use some AI voice cloning software to turn my voice into James', and as you will hear later the results of this are truly fucking cursed."
