Australian metal band Voyager will represent their home country with the track "Promise" at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. Voyager recently sat down with hosts Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon on the daytime TV show TODAY and things got a little blackened.
The interview largely centers around Voyager's upcoming performance and success over the years, right up until Voyager is asked if they can teach the hosts how to growl. So the hosts are then met with some guttural lows and even a line from the Immortal track "Blashyrkh (Mighty Ravendark)." Unsurprisingly, both hosts are a little shocked – "That's slightly terrifying," they added.
On the band's appearance at Eurovision and Australian tour, vocalist Danny Estrin offered the following: "Absolutely can't wait to get this show back on the road! We've got so much pent-up excitement that we're ready to burst… Looking forward to letting it all out on stage after our epic voyage to Eurovision! What better way to bring our incredible fans together than to return to our homeland to play some headline shows."
