For years Opeth has been asked to play their 20+ minute epic "Black Rose Immortal" live, but never have. Then finally as a part of a fan-voted setlist show at the Den Grå Hal in Copenhagen, Denmark on the night of November 10, they did it – Opeth performed their massive 1996 track in full and it was amazing. We'd also like to extend our apologies new Opeth drummer Waltteri Väyrynen, who had to learn this behemoth and then play it despite not having been in the band for long.
The full show ran as follows:
- "Ghost of Perdition"
- "Demon of the Fall"
- "Eternal Rains Will Come"
- "The Moor"
- "Under the Weeping Moon"
- "Windowpane"
- "The Devil's Orchard"
- "Black Rose Immortal"
- "Burden"
- "Sorceress"
- "Allting tar slut"
- "Blackwater Park"
- "Deliverance"
Speaking of "Black Rose Immortal," Opeth will re-release their first three albums Orchid, Morningrise, and My Arms, Your Hearse on newly-remastered vinyl, along with newly restored artwork by Dan Capp, to be out on May 19. Check 'em out here.
