Slayer played their first show since 2019 on September 22 at Riot Fest held at Douglass Park in Chicago, IL.
The legendary thrash group ripped through 20 songs from throughout their career and frankly, sounded like they never left the stage at all. Which isn't surprising – Gary Holt has been out there playing with Exodus, while Kerry King and Paul Bostaph have been playing with King's solo band. And despite Tom Araya not playing with any band since Slayer ended, the dude sounds awesome!
