Zed will re-release their record Desperation Blues on Ripple Music come January 18 and are celebrating their career with a brand new music video for the track "Skin + Bones." Here's what bassist for the band Mark Aceves had to say about the track and video.
This song embodies the classic "F-You" spirit that essentially epitomizes our old punk/hardcore roots. Doing things our own way, living life how we want to, not worrying about what's normal or accepted, and acknowledging that path as a usually lonely road is what the song is about lyrically. Sonically, we really try to capture that feeling with the music, with the big lumbering riffs and tense atmosphere, creating what we think is a feeling of defiance and self reliance.
