Earlier this week, the makers of Guitar Hero Live!, the upcoming new iteration of Guitar Hero announced their initial lineup of songs for the game and there was a healthy amount of metal featured including Pantera, System of a Down and Judas Priest.
Not to be outdone, the creators of Rock Band revealed its first six songs for the upcoming fourth iteration of the game, and it's decidedly less metal:
Avenged Sevenfold – “Hail To The King”
Fleetwood Mac – “You Make Loving Fun”
Jack White – “Lazaretto”
The Killers – “Somebody Told Me”
Spin Doctors – “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong”
The Who – “The Seeker”
Of course, these are not ALL of the songs in the game, just the start. But off to a rough start, I say.
Remember though: with Rock Band, the makers are hoping to make it so all of your past purchases in the game will still be playable, so there will be plenty of old songs to play. Also, they are still taking requests, so send them the metal!
