After much hype, Guitar Hero Live! has officially been released today on all platforms, which include PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox One and 360, Nintendo Wii U and iOS.
Wait, iOS? As in the iPhone?!
Yep, you can now play Guitar Hero Live! on most iPhones, iPads, the latest iPod touch and eventually the new Apple TV. Previous versions of the game provided a limited gaming experience but this version is basically the same game you would get on Playstation.
Unlike previous mobile iterations of the game, this one will allow you to play with an actual Bluetooth LE guitar for $99 (two for $149). If you purchase the guitar, it unlocks 40 different tracks as well as access to Guitar Hero TV, which has over 200 songs ready to play along to their music videos. If you don't want to buy the guitar, you can unlock all the songs for $50 for "touch based gameplay" which basically defeats the point of the game right?
All of which is to say, who the hell is going to be playing Guitar Hero on their phone? If it's you, please send video.
