A few weeks ago, we reported that Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst is currently keeping busy working on a new movie called Moose. The movie is based on Durst's own experience with some fans that cross the line. John Travolta was cast as one of those fans and Devon Sawa (who ironically played a stalker in Eminem's famous "Stan" video) is now playing the person stalked.
Variety described the plot of the film thusly:
Based on events from Durst’s own life, “Moose” was written by Durst with Dave Bekerman. Travolta is playing the title character, a rabid movie fan obsessed with his favorite celebrity action hero, portrayed by Devon Sawa. As Moose’s obsession grows stronger, his fixation turns from stalking to ambition of destroying the star’s life — a story inspired by a real-life fan who stalked Durst many years ago.
The movie wrapped shooting and Travolta was out and about in Hollywood with his wife Kelly Preston when TMZ cameras asked him about what the experience filming with Durst was like. His answer was somewhat surprising.
"Maybe my favorite experience I've had. He's so generous, and such an artist and he allowed me to create a character that no one else would allow, I mean, it's really a wild character and I felt very free to do that."
When the TMZ cameraman asked if Durst gave Travolta a lot of leeway, Travolta clarifed "A lot of leeway. I had great ideas and he had already edited this film in his imagination, so he knows how he's going to put it together, so he knew how to let me free within a boundary."
TMZ notes that Travolta has famously worked with directors like Quentin Tarantino, Nora Ephron, and Oliver Stone so it's rather high praise to say working with Durst was "maybe his favorite experience.
No release date has been set for Moose but the IMDB page lists the release year as 2018.

At this point, fans clamoring for new Limp Bizkit might want to take these words Wes Borland said last year to heart.
