The feature film chronicling the incredible, twisting turning love story of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne has found a home at Sony Pictures. According to Variety, the movie is being written by Rocketman screenwriter Lee Hall, and is being produced by both Polygram and Osbourne Media.

"Our relationship at times was often wild, insane and dangerous but it was our undying love that kept us together," said Sharon Osbourne. "We're thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures and Polygram to bring our story to the screen."

Last year, Ozzy's son Jack, a producer on the film, offered Rolling Stone some hints on where the movie was going. "We have a writer," said Jack. "We said to go from 1979 to 1996. I can't say too much, but the film is an active development."

"From what I understand, it's about Sharon and I and our relationship," added Ozzy. "It's how we met, fell in love, and how we married. She's my other half. She grew up a lot with me, and I grew up a lot with her. We celebrated 38 years of marriage just recently."

"I hope it will be a story that everybody can relate to," Sharon said. "You don't have to be a fan of the music, because it's a story about a survivor. No matter what life throws at you, you pick yourself up and you start again. It's just an amazing story of overcoming everything that's thrown at you in your life."

It's not super clear if this is the same movie Jack was talking about back in May. In that interview, the movie Jack was talking about ends in 1982 and is all about Sharon and Ozzy's relationship. Though he did say "I think in the next few months, you'll probably see something coming up about it. But we haven't landed [at a studio] yet. So, fingers crossed." So who knows, maybe there's two separate movies?

In the meantime, Ozzy Osbourne is working on a new studio album. The album features Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi, longtime Osbourne collaborator Zakk Wylde, Jeff Beck, and Eric Clapton, as well as producer Andrew Watt.
