XASTHUR Reunite & Go Acoustic – Here's Their Debut Song

The return of a very, very un-black metal Xasthur.

The return of a very, very un-black metal Xasthur.

Xasthur, better known as the black metal project consisting of mastermind Scott Conner/Malefic, existed between 1995 and 2010. Xasthur put out a lot of great records until its demise in 2010, when Conner went off to do an acoustic project called Nocturnal Poisoning.

Now, much to the surprise of fans (including myself), Xasthur is back with a new song called "Parole Fearing" right this very second. The song is being premiered exclusively here at Metal Injection and is off the band's new record Subject to Change due out sometime this week (possibly right now). It's an interesting turn for Conner, who is now accompanied by two others only known as Christopher and Robert, and it's pretty damn awesome.

Check it out below and let us know what you think of this drastic change!
