DESTROYER 666 Frontman Picks A Fight With Fans During Metal Magic Fest Performance

Frontman K.K. Warslut was drunk and was taking it out on the crowd.

Things got weird when Deströyer 666 took the stage at Denmark’s Metal Magic Festival this past Saturday, July 9th, and frontman K.K. Warslut starting inciting the crowd

Danish website Metalized Magazine filed a report, and according to the rough Google translation, Warslut began the show by shouting "Fuck you!" at the audience… always a pleasant way to kick off a gig. Warslut then proceeded to mock the Danish men who descended from Vikings saying something to the affect of “I live in a matriarchal culture. I feel sick of you.”

The inciting got to such a point that a fan actually got up on stage and offered to fight Warslut. Security escorted the fan off the stage quickly, and the rest of Destroyer 666 tried to calm Warslut down. So of course, when Warslut gets the mic again he says “I will fight. I don’t care who it’s with. I just want to fight. ”

Apparently, Warslut then got into it with a man wearing an antifa-mask. Antifa is short for anti-fascism. Warslut then insisted the man be thrown out and even dropped his guitar and offered to fight until band members and roadies calmed him down.

Shortly after, a fan threw a beer at Warslut, which he was none to happy about and he called the crowd "pussies." One fan kept trying to hop on stage so often that he had to be ejected from the building. As the show concluded, Warslut told the audience “I cannot express how much I hate you,” followed by “No, that’s not true. I love you.” A happy ending, at least?

In a statement on the band's Facebook page, the group admits there might have been some drinking going on and that the behavior was reckless, but it was all in the name of rock and roll:

“Danish friends, if you were offended by my rant at MM I get it. Obviously I was drunk but it’s only rock n roll right? in the great old tradition of confrontation and antagonism where would we be if every show was the same old tired routine.  It’s a fine line to walk and sometimes we cross over into reckless territory a rock n roll show should not be a safe space…..The world keeps on turning, for now. "

Yes, it's only rock and roll but inciting a riot does not seem like a fun thing to do when all the fans want to see is you play your damn songs.
