Earlier this summer we teamed up with PRS Guitars, Gear Gods and MetalSucks to launch one of our most fun contests to date: we invited guitar players (well, anyone, really) to record their own version of Mark Holcomb's guitar solo in Periphery's song "The Price is Wrong" using a mix of the track with the solo stripped out, with the super-sweet reward of a PRS Guitars SE Mark Holcomb to the winner.
Mark himself listened to all the entries — nearly 150 of them! — and chose his favorite! And that winner is… Sime Stampar! Here's his version of the guitar solo:
Enjoy your new axe, Sime! And a hearty thanks to everyone who participated in this contest… we hope you all had fun with it even if you didn't win.
