Lil Nas X was causing waves, the type of satanic panic that metal bands would get in the 80s last week, even getting a lawsuit from Nike. So naturally, metalheads have taken notice of his controversial new music video for "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)," which features the gay Black rapper falling down a stripper pole to Hell, giving Satan a lap dance and then killing him and capturing his crown – killing Satan is pretty metal no?
Anyway, two metal musicians on TikTok thought they would add a metal spin on it. First, guitarist Ricky Jabarin posted his version and then drummer Sage Weeber added his spin.
This eventually got the attention of Lil Nas X himself, who called out Youtube star Corpse Husband for a collaboration on a heavy remix of the song.
Jabarin posted an updated TikTok saying “Whether that’s serious or not, I have no idea — but if it’s for real, we would love to be involved. So Lil Nas X, let us know if we can work together to make a metal remix.”
We hope it happens and the original musicians are involved in some way!
