One of Dave Grohl's favorite past times seems to be renting a pick-up truck and trolling the Westboro Baptist Church. He and the Foo Fighters first messed with the intolerant protesters in 2011 when they came to picket his show. Grohl and co showed up as a country band. In 2015, Grohl did it again, this time rick-rolling protesters. Yesterday, he did it yet again.
This time the protest was outside their show in Kansas outside the Azura Amphitheater in Bonner Springs. Grohl and crew rolled around and after telling the picketers he loved them because he loved everyone, they started jamming some of their Bee Gees covers.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I got something to say. Because you know what? I love you! I do,” Grohl said from the truck. “The way I look at it, I love everybody. That’s what you’re supposed to do… I deliver all of my love, and you shouldn’t be hating. You should be dancing!” The band then played a cover of the Bee Gees’ “You Should Be Dancing.”
