With Halloween just around the corner, we'll be sure to see the best of the best in monstrous mashups and creepy covers this weekend on TikTok and other social media. It's become a new and very much beloved Halloween tradition ever since a serious influx of creative artists have taken over YouTube, and TikTok has skyrocketed in popularity. Case in point, these killer metal renditions of two memorable melodies from the fall holiday classic The Nightmare Before Christmas—"This Is Halloween" and "Sally's Song"—have set TikTok on fire! You can check them both out below.
TikTok musicians Lyric Noel and Daedric hooked these metalcore-flavored cuts up with plenty of bangin' riffs and gritty, champagne-and-reefer drenched vocals. The duo also conjure up some serious Lzzy Hale vibes, which prompted one user to comment, "I need to hear [a] version of 'Wicked Ways' by Halestorm." Meanwhile another very impressed user posted, "My favorite Disney song mixed with my favorite genre?! I need a full version of this!!!!"
The pair collaborated with producer and axe-slinger Russell Hollar on both, and the singing duo have racked up over 4 million views already. That's pretty impressive—way to go, Lyric and Daedric!
