Above is your first taste of Rust In Peace Live, the new live DVD from Megadeth documenting the band performing their landmark album from beginning to end earlier this year. I had the opportunity to see the band on the recent American Carnage tour, and MegaDave could NOT pull off the vocals live anymore, making me wonder if some of this was overdubbed in the studio later on (that sort of stuff happens all the time folks)
Lovers of the guitar riff will appreciate that The Sword is currently streaming their new release, Warp Riders on their MySpace page. In the past, my main critique of this band was they were too obviously a Sabbath ripoff. But the two tracks I've listened to so far do not give off that vibe, and come off much more original.
Mutiny Within have posted a cover of AC/DC's Highway to Hell over at SMN News, the track starts off very similar to the original and then kicks into Mutiny-esque mode.
Finally, if you are the type of person that attended Warped Tour and might enjoy the softer side of the rock spectrum, you might enjoy Conditions. The band is featured in the upcoming AP/Hot Topic Mini Mag, available at Hot Topic stores beginning September 7th
