BLACK SABBATH's Tony Iommi Records Song For The Birmingham Cathedral with Killer Solos & A Boys Choir

Iommi sets a new precedent for church music.

Black Sabbath riff lord Tony Iommi wanted to give back to his city of Birmingham, and naturally his contribution is a piece of killer music. Iommi was commissioned by the Birmingham Cathedral to write a piece of music with Dean of Birmingham Reverend Catherine Ogle, which ended up being a song titled "How Good It Is."

The track features pretty Sabbath-esque acoustic guitars and guitar solos, though the addition of a boys choir and occasional stringed instruments really take the piece to a whole new level. Iommi also wrote the lyrics, which the cathedral's site says were inspired by Psalm 133.

If Iommi came out with a whole album of music exactly like this, I'd be the first in line to buy a copy. This is great!
