Everyone complains about bands not releasing albums for three or four years, but nobody ever mentions Car Bomb. Between 2007 and now, the The New York-centered foursome has released two albums, one of which was through Relapse Records. Fortunately, the absence of Car Bomb's music is being temporarily rectified with a new album titled Meta due out on October 28.
We can say with certainty the album is going to be as heavy as 100 exploded cars, considering Meta was produced by Gojira frontman Joe Duplantier at his very own Silver Cord Studio in Brooklyn. It's also worth noting that the studio is co-owned by Car Bomb drummer Elliot Hoffman, but I digress! The album was mixed and mastered by Josh Wilbur (Megadeth, Lamb Of God), and will feature guest spots from Duplantier and Suffocation‘s Frank Mullen. So y'know, holy shit!
Check out the predictably destructive new track "From The Dust Of This Planet" below, and pre-order Meta here.
