Disney, who generally doesn't take all too kindly to metal, has released an album of power metal renditions of Disney classics under the moniker D-Metal Stars.
The band consists of vocalist Mike Vescera (Obsession, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen), bassist Rudy Sarzo (ex-Ozzy, ex-Quiet Riot), guitarist John Bruno (Obsession) and drummer BJ Zampa (ex-Dokken), who cover such classics as The Little Mermaid's "Under the Sea," Beauty And The Beast's title track, and "It's a Small World" from the ride in the Magic Kingdom.
Disney released the album in Japan last year, and now it's finally available in the states. You can check out the cover of "Beauty And The Beast" below, though I'm warning you right now that it's super cheesy and extremely accessible… though who in their right mind would expect anything less from Disney?
