Exclusive: THE ZENITH PASSAGE Premiere Shredtastic Debut Single "Holographic Principle II: Convergence"

Don't step in that puddle. That's my face on the floor.

Don't step in that puddle. That's my face on the floor.

Back in 2013, a new band at the time called The Zenith Passage came out of nowhere to near instant acclaim with their EP, Cosmic Dissonance. In the time since, their profile has only grown in a massive way. Possibly boosted in part by their guitarist Justin McKinney joining The Faceless, which no doubt helped spread awareness of them among any previously unaware tech-death adherents.

Very recently the band has started hyping up the release of their debut full-length, Solipsist, and we here at Metal Injection have the exclusive release below for "Holographic Principle II: Convergence", the first song to be released off it! It doubles as a shiny lyric video, but its the sweet musicianship on display I'm most psyched about!

As the music on "Holographic Principle II: Convergence" highlights a clearly evolved The Zenith Passage taking their sound to a higher place. Often sounding more along the lines of Archspire than the music featured on Cosmic Dissonance. So hit play below, but please take into consideration that strapping on an adult diaper before doing so might be a prudent move. It's a real pantshitter of a song. Yes, that's a thing now.

Solipsist, out April 15 via Unique Leader, was engineered, mixed and mastered by Zack Ohren (Animosity, Suffocation, All Shall Perish, etc.) at Castle Ultimate Productions, with additional engineering by Justin McKinney and Michael Keene (The Faceless) at Keene Machine Studios.

Solipsist includes a guest vocal appearance by Fallujah’s Alex Hofmann, a guitar solo by Wes Hauch (ex-The Faceless) who also co-wrote a portion of seventh cut, “Hypnagogia,” a synth solo by Vikram Shankar and cover art by Ken Sarafin (Skinless, The Kennedy Veil, Archspire, etc.).
