It's been four years since Exhumed released its last proper studio album, that being 2013's Necrocracy, and this not counting 2015's Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998-2015 re-recording. Four years has been a long enough wait, as Exhumed has now announced it'll release a new album called Death Revenge on October 13, which is a Friday!
Death Revenge seems to be a concept album about the Burke and Hare Murders, which I'll let Wikipedia do the explaining of. I could be wrong, but… all the facts and Exhumed's explanation sure as hell line up.
The Burke and Hare murders were a series of 16 murders committed over a period of about ten months in 1828 in Edinburgh, Scotland. The killings were undertaken by William Burke and William Hare, who sold the corpses to Doctor Robert Knox for dissection at his anatomy lectures.
You can check out a trailer for the album below, which also features some grinding new music at the end. It's also worth noting that this will be Exhumed's first proper studio album with bassist and vocalist Ross Sewage back in the fold for the first time since 1999!
