Lose Yourself In ASTROSAUR's New Instrumental Album Obscuroscope

A little post-metal, a little prog, a little black metal, and a good bit of prog!

astrosaur

Astrosaur is the brainchild of guitarist and main songwriter Eirik Kråkenes, whose résumé includes filling in as a session musician for Leprous and Ihsahn. Astrosaur is releasing their new record Obscuroscope on September 27 and once I heard it, there was no way I wasn't going to premiere it. Equal parts instrumental post-rock and post-metal, alongside bits of progressive, jazz, math, and black metal, Obscuroscope is a record that has every intention of blowing your mind completely.

Here's what the band had to say about the record.

"We're very excited to finally get to share our new album with you, just before the official release. Obscuroscope is in many ways a record about curiosity and exploration, and this also reflects the process of making the album.  We've been working hard on expanding our sound, and we're very happy with how it turned out.  Crank it and space out!“
