Monolord will release their Relapse Records debut No Comfort on September 20, and you can stream it in full today. Guitarist and vocalist Tomas Jäger says the record is a personal one that touches on losing loved ones, dealing with crises, and overall just feeling no comfort at all.
“It’s more emotional than the others. There are lyrics about disease—we’ve had relatives with cancer and things like this—and when you think you’re done with one crisis, the next one comes along. So sometimes you feel there’s no comfort left. Anyone going through a rough time can relate, I think.”
