Birmingham, AL coffee shop Revelator Coffee shut down allegedly without giving their employees any warning or severance. According to The Valley Labor Report, "Coffee shop closed today w/o warning the workers in Birmingham, AL. This is a common practice in the restaurant industry. With a union contract, workers would have the power to negotiate the terms of closures. This is one of many reasons so many are organizing today."
In protest of what happened and to raise awareness about workers getting fucked over, William Russel, former Revelator employee and member of Apprehend, got the rest of his band to play a show at the location. The results were predictably insane, as you'll see in the below videos.
Revelator Coffee has not commented on the situation, and hasn't updated any of their social media since at least 2022.
