Here's GHOST's First Performance With Its Entirely New Backing Band

Still masked.

Still masked.

Ghost recently (and supposedly) underwent a full lineup change, and even had ex-Nameless Ghoul Martin Persner out himself as one of the guitarists. Following that news up was the revelation that Ghost has gone through about 10 members since its inception, though let's be real – Ghost is Papa Emeritus/Tobias Forge, so I'm not so sure the backing live guys matter as much.

Ghost has now kicked off its American Popestar tour, and has revealed its new lineup! The band consists now of Papa Emeritus on vocals, A Nameless Ghoul on guitar and guitar, A Nameless Ghoul on bass, A Nameless Ghoul on keyboards, and A Nameless Ghoul on drums. Y'know, very different from the former Ghost, which consisted of Papa Emeritus on vocals, A Nameless Ghoul on guitar and guitar, A Nameless Ghoul on bass, A Nameless Ghoul on keyboards, and A Nameless Ghoul on drums.

What a difference! Here's a ton of footage of the very new and obviously different band.

"Rite Here Rite Now is a mostly comprehensive and extremely enjoyable—but slightly pointless—complement to Ghost's first film."
